Four rails, picked one at a time.
No algorithm behind the picks. Every piece chosen one at a time.
Swoodie is a small, opinionated shop window. Every piece on every rail was chosen one at a time, and anything that didn't earn its hook isn't here. There is no algorithm behind the picks, and as things stand today nothing on the rails is a paid placement.
The name has been sitting in my hands since 2010, long before anyone was calling the garment anything. It seemed obvious then and it still does: there is a thing between a sweater and a hoodie, most people own one, and nobody had bothered to give it a proper home.
How the picks work
Four closets, sorted by the day you're having rather than by department: Sunday for the oversized end, Studio for clean and camera-ready, Commuter for zips and collars, Cabin for real cold. Each rail holds eight pieces. When something better turns up, something else comes off the rail.
How this is paid for
Links go to Amazon and I earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no cost to you. That's the entire business model, disclosed on every page, and it doesn't change what gets picked. The full disclosure is here.
